Note: Attending 4-H events is an exciting opportunity through 4-H to experience project development and to grow with 4-Hers across the state and nation. Before deciding to go on one of these trips, please make sure youth have the funding to cover fees associated with the cost of the trip. Youth are responsible for securing this funding PRIOR to registering for an event and should receive approval from the county 4-H agent before registering.

Periodically, outside groups will offer scholarship opportunities to support 4-H youth attending 4-H events. These types of funds ARE NOT GUARANTEED and will be available only as long as designated funds are available.

In the case that they become available, youth who would like to compete for funding can apply for a scholarship by completing the application: 4-H Scholarship Application.

Web addresses for trip specific applications are listed below. Applicants must be enrolled in 4-H to be eligible. A committee independent of 4-H faculty or volunteers will review these applications and decide on dispersal of funds. Typically, deciding criteria will be based on both 4-H participation (merit) AND financial need. Should other criteria be used to guide the decision-making, the individual scholarship application will provide detailed requirements for eligibility. Youth will be notified that they have received a scholarship prior to the deadline to register for the event.

Many trips are competitive events. Find out more at http://escambia.ifas.ufl.edu/4h/4-h-competitive-events/

If your trip is not listed here, contact the 4-H office. Financial support for project specific trips is available only after youth have attended a qualifying event to progress them to a regional or state level event.
