Mulch

    Mulch helps retain moisture in the soil, moderates soil temperature, and helps to reduce erosion. It can be very aesthetically pleasing in a garden or yard, and generally helps to choke out weeds. Mulch is an excellent alternative to asphalt or concrete for yard pathways, driveways, reducing the amount of impervious surface in a yard. When applying, be sure to pull mulch away from stems and trunks to avoid stem rot.
