HEALTH ADVISORY ISSUED FOR SANDERS BEACH

FDEP did not sample this week but it would be wise to stay out of the Bayous until they do.

FDOH did sample Bayou Texar Monday Jun 19 and levels of bacteria were fine.

2016 Florida Panhandle Diamondback Terrapin Survey Report

Project Objective:

  • Record sightings of terrapin, or terrapin sign to determine if terrapins still exist in the Florida Panhandle.
  • Identify nesting beaches for future population studies.
  •
