Welcome to the Marine Extension program of the Escambia County Extension Service.  The program, through Florida Sea Grant, is designed to enhance the practical use and conservation of coastal and marine resources.  Check in often as this site will continue to grow and evolve.

Florida Sea Grant is a statewide university-based coastal research, education, and extension/outreach program.  One of 30 Sea Grant programs nationally, it is a partnership program among the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Florida's universities, and Florida's citizens, businesses, and governments.

As with the rest of the extension service, the marine extension program works through the University of Florida to offer marine research and information to local residents in a variety of ways:

• Individual consultation
