             The Master Gardener Demonstration garden is a 20,000 square foot educational garden of the Escambia County Extension service.  Master Gardener volunteers create and maintain more than twelve garden areas designed to educate visitors about plants and gardening practices recommended in the coastal south.  A few of the exhibits include roses, a perennial border, evergreens, a butterfly garden, ornamental grasses, and muscadine grapes.  Special events include a spring garden festival held on the first Saturday in May and the Green Thumb Jamboree held the 2^nd Saturday in October.  The garden is open to the public and free of charge.
